The leather that is used comes from an "eco friendly tanning method" meaning that each tanning facility is we source from is restricted by legal requirements and by many voluntary industrial initiatives which are committed to eliminating potentially harmful substances from the supply chain. This also means that leather may have blemishes or discoloration. Each of these hides was once a living breathing animal and I personally choose not to shy away from blemishes that may have occured during their lifetime to honor their experience.
